Session Description:

The goal of this session is to provide speech therapists and other professionals with the knowledge and tools to improve the outcomes of children who have behavior and/or emotional disorders as well as those children who have been exposed to traumatic, chronic, and adverse circumstances. Behavior disorders can undermine children's ability to learn, form relationships and manage feelings/behavior. When professionals have better understandings of evidence based pro-active interventions, and understand how these disorders impact language development and communication, methods and content can be structured to meet the complex needs of these students.
