Data collected was compiled and statistically analyzed using SPSS-22.1 including Pearson correlation.
Result specifies the descriptive statistics for the LOT-R score in students showing mean value of 13.893 which is slightly above pessimism score of 12. Results shows that Syrian students’ confidence about their future and optimism level is significantly correlated ((r=0.328,p<0.01). ), Syrian students’ preference about life and optimism level is also significantly correlated (r=0.282,p<0.01 ), Syrian students’ thought pattern as fate is cause of unhappy life is interestingly correlated significantly with optimism(r=0.202,p<0.05 ). However students’ future plan about getting job in Syria is not significantly correlated.
