To coordinate and manage the group work psychological interventions
Undertake a key role in the recruitment and supervision of other psychologists.
To provide training to Glasgow and Edinburgh University Doctoral Clinical Training Courses.
To be actively involved in the development of forensic training and the forensic network.
To take a lead role in developing links (with regard benchmarking, clinical practice and research in psychosis) with the three other Special Hospitals in the UK.
To plan and maintain a CPD portfolio.
To be aware of and conversant in legislative process in relation to mentally disordered offenders.
To provide expert consultancy to external agencies such as the Scottish Executive, Scottish Prison Service and other facilities for mentally disordered offenders such as the Orchard Clinic and Special Hospitals.
the postholder must be cognisant of the budgetary constraints and work within them (particularly for training expenses and human resource management)
Postholder must be flexible and react to the needs of patients and the hospital as they arise
Act independently and autonomously in their daily routine, e.g. make decisions regarding service issues or ward work, organise own diary.
