Ability to Adjust


According to this group, intelligence is general mental adaptability to new problems and new situations of life. Some definitions come under this group areas follows.
Binet (1905): Intelligence is the ability of an individual to direct his behaviour towards a goal.

William James (1907): It is the ability to adjust oneself successfully to a relatively new situation. J. Piagel (1926): Intelligence is an adaptations to physical and social environment. F. N. Freeman (1937); Intelligence is represented in behaviour by the capacity of the individual to adjust himself to new situations to solve new problems to learn
