Accreditation Status

The Residency in Clinical Psychology at the W.G. Hefner Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury, NC, is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. The next site visit will be in 2017.

Application & Selection Procedures


We seek candidates who are U.S. citizens and who will have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology at an APA-accredited internship by the start of the residency. The dissertation must be verified as completed prior to the residency start date. Applications must be in the APPA CAS online system by December 15, 2015 at 11:59pm.  We will interview all eligible candidates in late January/early February with notifications being made with the recommended day of March 7, 2016
